Creative Life
Writing is a shamanic tool. A scalpel to creation. “I used to be a writer,” I would say, because it had to fall apart. For the longest time, I could not bear doing it. Everything I wrote down felt like the hollow nonsense of a lie. Because I was starting to clue in. What we write is of real consequence, because what we write is materialized spirit. What we write weaves our experience. What we write forms our community. What we write becomes our forest. Our words are conduits for flowing life, or empty life. Eventually, I mustered the humility to touch the raw, charging current of the honesty under the moss. Still, I do not call myself a writer. I say, "I write." ~ What follows is a mixture of the mystical — a free-flowing ecosystem of the wisdom of my helping spirits, as filtered through my own imperfect, interpretive veils. The pieces contain varying measures of the poetic, the playful, and the serious. All offer teaching, either above or below the surface. (Mostly below.) This space will grow as I can coax the writings in from their free life on the range.
Entering Disquiet ✦ Personal/Impersonal
When I found the nerve to leave my career, I was feigning peace at best. Think of a stage, and the caliber of performance possible from a soapbox versus a stadium. If all we can offer our presence is the tiny, scrappy space of a soapbox, then all the variant colours of our character have to fight for their place, to be seen and heard. The dominant personalities end up winning out...

What is the Sky Inside, and what is the Mountain?
The Sky Inside is the air quality of our perception.
Think visibility as reflected by our inner psyche.
‘Clarity’ is not enough here. To start, we have to consciously STOP and SEE where our Attention is so captivated.
A mind of its own, that one...
Beneath the Surface
One. Remembering who we are means paying attention. The simplest thing, yet nothing is more difficult. We do all this work to fortify our strength for knowing more of life...

Two. ALL of us are ageless. What a lot to remember! How do we do it? With every second of contact, by the next we forget...

Four. Responsibility is not what we think. That part about deciding what sticks to our magnet it comes with one massive caveat: we cannot deny the magnet itself...
