In the Forest: Beneath the Surface

We Are All Ageless

Four. Responsibility is not what we think. That part about deciding what sticks to our magnet… it comes with one massive caveat: we cannot deny the magnet itself. And if something arrives to stick to it, and I mean psychically stick rather than floating by on its merry way— well, it shares a common charge with something we have to say. Say to ourselves, that is.

The magnet is our body.

The magnet is also our soul. The soul is not the body… but the body sings its song. We wear these clothes because we picked them out, wanting to be dressed in something to play with the other kids at school. Why is this always so difficult to accept? …but we are all ageless. Yeah! And we forget! I feel we are going in circles… We forget… Life is a cascade of unyielding charity. To be in its receipt, to even accept such stock as real and something we always deserve we have to be capable of holding so much vibrating *emptiness* inside one tiny space a restless catch before the inhale saga-deluge before the exhale… pulsating monster *sentience* inside one nanoscopic nothing of a something and then let it go… The INTENSITY of PRESENCE. Nothing else makes room for the appearance of the entirety of who we are. (…and then she’s gone!… did more of her arrive this time or less?) Stop questioning. Remembering is not an exam. The paradox to accept, the surrender of ‘self’ to join SELF is what raises the stage upon which we claim the whole downpour and command it. It takes the capacity of a mountain. BUT WE ARE MOUNTAINS. Whole ranges in fact, panoramas extending for more miles than we have numbers for… expansive sweeping skies, bright blue horizons showering over maiden landscapes plus the endless starry black timeless sparkles refracting through bottomless oceans of scattered, emulsified life… a darkness wherein we need only release the iron to notice the familiar choreography, our own deliberate touch skirting the frame around what is curious… and offer our attention. Remember the obligation: We willingly participate in the transformation of our own consciousness. This is not a passive undertaking despite the wheel leaving our hands. To remember who we are takes COURAGE. These are acts of veneration Wherein we are reborn responsible. We are all ageless. This is soul retrieval. And we call it the journey home. ~
